Which Ravens Rookie has the best value?

The Baltimore Ravens are happy with every rookie they selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, and since they didn’t make a single trade, they were happy with the value each pick had.

However, there is one that stands above the rest with Bleacher Report listing each team’s top pick from last weekend. For the Ravens, it was Iowa State cornerback TJ Tampa, who the team selected at the end of the fourth round.

“The NFL gave the Ravens a good gift. At 130th overall – the sixth-to-last pick in the fourth round – Baltimore ultimately acquired Iowa State cornerback TJ Tampa, who B/R at 44th place in the overall rankings. He was seventh on the corner of the last big board of our Scouting department,” writes Bleacher Report. “Tampa is a flexible corner who stands 6-foot-4 and embraces a physical style that should translate well to Baltimore.”

Tampa was a player the Ravens would have considered on Day 2 had they not taken cornerback Nate Wiggins in the first round, but they were fortunate to find him on the board when they were back on the clock late in the fourth round.

It remains to be seen what Tampa’s trajectory with the Ravens will be, but he likely won’t be treated like a regular mid-round selection.
