Pizza certainly makes most people happy, but one man has opened up to eating it every day.

Kenny Wildes, from Connecticut, has eaten at least one slice of pizza every day for the past six years.

And would you believe that this dietary change was the result of a challenge?

To be honest, I can think of worse things to do if you dare.

Speaking to The Guardian, Wildes said: ‘I worked for a company that dealt with heating and cooling systems.

“My colleague and I were on the road all day, and the quickest thing I could grab was a pizza.

“One day he said, ‘I bet you couldn’t eat it every day for a week.’ I took on the challenge with ease. Then he extended the bet to a month. By the end, I felt like I for longer.”

Wildes, whose father owned a pizzeria, insists he hasn’t missed a day in six years.

He often eats a whole pizza, but sometimes he has to settle for a single piece of pizza.

Although, given American portion sizes, that’s still no small feat.

But despite his daily diet habits, he has managed to stay quite slim.

Wildes said: “I’m actually quite thin.

“I think I can thank my metabolism for that.

“Sometimes people come in contact with health concerns about my habit, but I am fit and healthy.”

Wildes now has an Instagram account to share his daily pizzas.

“It’s the perfect job for me because I can travel and try pizzas from all over the country,” Wildes said.

“This spring I ate pizza in ten different American states. I also went to Las Vegas for a pizza convention.

“My favorite crust is the thick, crispy and chewy New Haven pizza. The city has the best pizza I’ve ever tried.

“I love eating at a restaurant called Sally’s Apizza, which has been open since 1938.

“The sauce is like nothing I’ve ever had, and the coal oven puts the perfect char on the crust.”

Every now and then he runs into the former colleague who created the original challenge.

Wildes said: “He laughs and calls me crazy but is impressed that I have stuck with it all these years.

“I think people find it hard to understand why I do it and how much I love pizza, but it’s that simple.

“I’ll continue my streak as long as I’m still excited about pizza, and I’m happy to enjoy my delicious journey one bite at a time.”
