Arizona running back Jordan Washington has committed to it Washington from the NCAA transfer portal, he announced on Twitter on Sunday evening.

Washington will follow the former Wildcats coach Jedd Fish for the Huskies, albeit after the spring semester. Washington signed with Arizona in the 2024 recruiting class.

The talented former four-star running back is certainly not the first player to follow Fisch from Arizona to Washington. In fact, eleven different players or signees have made the move from the Wildcats to the Huskies.

However, Washington is one of the best on paper.

Before signing with Arizona, Jordan Washington was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 350 prospect nationwide in the 2024 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He also reported as the No. 25 running back in the class and the No. 29 overall player in the state of California, coming out of Long Beach (CA) Jordan.

Washington loses linebacker to transfer portal

Washington linebacker Jordan Whitney has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Piet Nakos has learned.

Whitney spent just one year with the Huskies and had little impact. He didn’t see any game action in 2023 while he redshirted.

So he will still have sufficient suitability wherever he ends up. And someone is sure to take a chance on the former three-star prospect.

Before enrolling at Washington and later entering the NCAA transfer portal, Jordan Whitney was ranked as a three-star recruit and the No. 1,123 prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He also reported as the No. 107 linebacker in his class and the No. 100 overall player in the state of California, coming out of Oxnard (CA) Pacifica.

Washington has had a tough season this season following the departure of its coach Kalen DeBoer for the Alabama function.

According to On3’s transfer tracker, 31 players have entered the NCAA transfer portal for the Huskies since the season ended, including Jordan Whitney. Meanwhile, the Huskies have added 20 players to the ranks through the portal.
