LR PHILLIPS Linda Carolyn Rogers Phillips passed away on February 29, 2024 in Moraga, CA at the age of 75. She has lived in El Sobrante and The East Bay Area since the 1970s. Her career as a librarian for Contra Costa County lasted nearly thirty-five years. Linda married Carrol Phillips on 2-8-87. He passed away on 9/3/10. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ruby Rogers. She is survived by a brother and a sister-in-law, Gene and Nancy Rogers, of Klamath Falls, OR, her nephew Jim Rogers and his wife Monica Martinez of Portland, OR and niece Erin Grandgirard of San Diego and her husband Sylvio and two boys, Preston and Chase. Linda enjoyed gathering at busy family gatherings. Growing up in Oroville, CA in the 1950s and 1960s, her youth included active membership in clubs such as 4-H. After graduating from Las Plumas High School in Oroville, she attended the University of California – Davis for undergraduate studies and then to the University of Hawaii for her master’s degree with some studies in Japan. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Old Homestead, 995 Laring Ave., Crockett, CA on July 14, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to The Nature Conservancy or your favorite charity in her memory.
