The busy Philipps’ youngest daughter has some feelings about seeing her mother on the big screen.

While discussing how they set boundaries for their children, Kotb asked Philipps how she navigated focusing on her children Cricket and Birdie, 15, as a person in the spotlight.

“I think it’s very complicated. ‘What was she thinking? How did she react?’ Kotb asked.

“She was like, she’s 10 now, my little one… I saw her face and she said, ‘This is weird.'”

Laughing, Kotb asked if that was really what happened.

“Yes, she says, ‘This is weird,’” the star confirmed. “And so we talked about it the next day and I was like, ‘You know, was that too much for you? Didn’t you like it?’ And she says, ‘I don’t think I want to see the stuff you’re in. It was weird.’ And I thought, ‘I get it.’ And she says, ‘Luckily you’re not in the movies that much.'”

“Yes, because she loved the rest of the movie. She said, ‘I can just jump ahead.'”
