A benefit event is planned at the Lewiston Roundup Grounds in support of Kris, who was recently injured in an accident that resulted in a broken hip and significant medical expenses. This event, which will include barrel racing, team roping, a silent auction and lunch/dinner, aims to help offset Kris’s uncovered medical bills.

The festivities begin on May 18, with registration for the barrel race starting at 8:30 am. Several competitions will follow, including a #7 Team Roping event and several barrel racing classes, suitable for all levels from puddlers to seniors. Additional incentives include a $500 prize for the open barrel race and unique rewards for winners in each category, such as liquid gold bubbles and coffee cards.

Lunch and dinner will feature Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, Kris’ favorite, provided by Buckin’ Good Coffee Truck, with all proceeds going to her recovery fund. The event encourages cash transactions for entry fees, auction purchases and meals. For more information or to donate auction items, participants are encouraged to contact the organizers directly. This event not only supports Kris in her time of need, but also celebrates her contributions to the community, especially her work at the Lewiston Roundup Grounds.
