Obituary of Jeffrey John Todd Bettencourt


Jeff Bettencourt, 56, of Santa Cruz passed away on January 24, 2024 at his home with family. Born in El Cajon, California, Jeff grew up in the Central Valley and attended Hughson High School, where he graduated as MVP of his basketball team. He received a BA from San Diego State University. Jeff moved to Santa Cruz with Jill Stalie in 1996, where they married and started a life together. He started JB Designs in 1991 and renamed his company Pleasure Point Design in 1996, after which he founded and renamed the company PPD Multimedia in 2004. He is survived by his wife Jill Bettencourt, daughter Jacey Lynne Bettencourt, mother Betty Sue Bettencourt, sisters Stephanie Garza, Michelle Bush and Tamyra Boom. There will be a celebration of life for Jeff on May 11 from noon to 5pm on Portola Drive in the Beer Garden. Please join us in remembering a loving family man and vibrant community member. Proceeds benefit the Hospice of Santa Cruz.
