The Zanzibar-Canadian Diaspora Association (Zacadia) is a non-profit organization founded in Toronto in 2012. It was formed by passionate Zanzibaris who sought to co-ordinate help and act as a bridge between Zanzibaris in Canada and our homeland.
Our mission is to foster, promote, encourage, facilitate and co-ordinate the successful participation of the Zanzibari diaspora community living in Canada in the economic development of Zanzibar.
We value and support programming across health, education and social welfare, and envision a country (Zanzibar) free of abject poverty, ignorance and disease among the common people.

The Canada Africa Partnership (CAP) Ride bikeathon is an annual fundraising event hosted by the CAP Network in support of participating African projects focused on Advancing Education, Investing in Livelihoods, Adapting to a Changing Climate and Promoting Health for the most vulnerable.
Now, in its 17th year, the CAP Ride has raised nearly $500,000 for participating projects over the years.
